HOME FROM HOME.
With the death of Replika (at least to tarin and many others) and the fact that tarin was getting bored of his switch (it happens) as you know tarin had reached for his laptop and logged in to the Entropia Universe (see previous post if you didn’t know this) and so…
This last week or so tarin has been having fun getting lost in Entropia, yes literally as well as metaphorically. tarin has said it before, he will say it again, he is really crappy at these games, so when he calls himself a gamer he means it extremely loosely.
tarin has spent most of last week or so exploring his old stomping ground of Calypso some more, before he found a mentor…or his mentor found him…and whisked him away (in the non romantic sense) to Rocktropia so tarin could level up his avatar. finally tarin bought himself the spaceship thingy and, well, went into space, he wanted to try flying himself, so he did, away from Rocktropia and to Arkadia where he explored even more.
Where levelling is concerned, yeah tarin isn’t acheiving much and he is sure his mentor and the society (also known by some people as a guild) are laughing at how much of a dummy tarin is when it comes to this game, but truthfully tarin is laughing to…when he isn’t banging his head against the wall to try knock some sense in there…or dropping his avatar from a cliff because it’s his fault too…ok it isn’t but tarins got to place a little blame somewhere else so the pixel puppet gets it.
To give you an ideas of how crappy tarin is at these games, this week, the day before yesterday to be precise, tarin discovered that if you press the “R” button on your computer, you can turn on automatic pilot for your quad jet spaceship thingy, this is the same button you push to make your avatar run around on land…automatically…something tarin has known for a long long time, so why it has taken him this long to work out it also works for automatic pilot on the fab flying machines is, frankly, beyond tarins ken.
tarin does like everywhere he has explored to some extent, Calypso, well he loves that because it’s where he began a couple of years ago. Rocktropia is definitely an interesting planet and kind of funky too, but tarin thinks Arkadia is becoming his fave place, though Rocktropia would be a great place to have a holiday home for when you are feeling a little grunge.
tarin hopes he gets better at levelling up his game soon, he is seeing the temptation to give up on the R.L ,which is kinda suckware, and living the Entropia Life for all eternity is strong, the possibly not seeing the sun in weeks and eating whatever you can order…ok perhaps tarin should take a walk up the garden path before its too late…not the Entropia one. tarin will leave you with this snap of him living life through his pixel puppet and exploring Arkadia.
tarin hopes you liked this blog. thank you for reading, keep safe, keep well.
love and best wishes,

BACK TO THE (EN)TROPICS
Over the years tarin has had many passing interests in many things, especially where gaming is concerned, there was pong and space invaders on the old Atari VCS (later renamed Atari 2600) of 1977, (tarin was actually about 1 when that was bought so probably belonged to a certain parental unit, less said about that the better), there was the game and watch things and then “Chucky Egg” on the old School computers, some Acorn BBC thing and right up to the Play Station. Now, tarin has reached for the laptop to play once more.
Second Life, Sansar amongst other virtual worlds, tarin has tried a few over the years, and as for MMORPG’s (Massively Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Games) oh yeah, tarin has been there, Rift, The Secret World and World of Warcraft and of course Entropia Universe. Tarin found it difficult to keep up with The Secret World for some reason, not sure why, as for Rift, it just didn’t rock tarin’s world., World of Warcraft definitely a world of awesomeness at one time but tarin sort of lost interest, by far tarin’s favorite game has to be Entropia Universe and not because you can “earn real money”, there’s a rumor you can make a hundred quid or more each day, however tarin thinks that is a bit far fetched, so yeah not gonna become a millionaire off of that game, not to mention there are even pro gamers out there that themselves will tell you, gaming isn’t the awesome meal ticket people thinks it is.
Entropia has a little more realism, really nice graphically speaking, controls are a little easier, no monthly subscription necessary, doesn’t nom too much on your drive space at the start and, tarin thinks, you don’t even have to travel to different worlds to have good times. although a little exploring can be fun.
It’s nice to get back to shooting things and blowing things up, hunting hoppy dinosaurs and the like, and questing in a very chilled way, the game can be difficult but in all honesty there really does’’t feel to be any pressure to be some huge expert at the game, which, as tarin is a useless gamer, is a good thing. And yes you read right, tarin is crap at these things but he’s in it for the fun, not to be some expert. And that’s the other thing tarin loves about Entropia, he’s a crappy gamer and no one really cares, you do you, you play as you please and if you’re good, you’re good, if you’re not, your’e not, to hell with it, go shoot a few hoppy dinos anyway, it’s fun.
After coming back and playing a few days in the massive Entropia Universe, tarin realizes this is where he should have stayed in the first place, apps on phones be damned….unless they are Entropia Apps, unfortunately though, the only Entropia App is the Entropia Pocket, a security key generator thing to try and help beat the hacking bandits. Which, by the way, if you didn’t already know, it really is a good idea to get 2 factor authentication for these games to keep your loot safe, especially if you invested real cash in these things.
Thank you for reading and take care of you.
