The Monsters Under The Bed.

My brother told me a horrible story once,

About the monsters under my bed.

He told me that as soon as I fall asleep,

They would come out and eat my head.

“First they’ll eat your nose.” He said.

“Then they’ll chew on your ears.

Next they’ll dig your eyeballs out with a spoon,

Then cut out your tongue using garden shears.”

As you can imagine I got quite a fright,

I tossed and turned and squirmed all night.

I heard my brother giggling, pleased with what he’d done,

I thought, “ It’s alright for you, you’ll sleep well,

Thanks a bloomin’ bunch.”

I thought about how I could get him back,

But found myself dropping off.

Before I could plan my attack,

I was away in the land of nod.

When I woke up the very next day,
I jumped about and cheered.

My head was still attached to my shoulders,

I really needn’t of feared.

My brother was still curled up in bed,

And I thought it rather odd.

I pulled his blankets away from him,

And said “Get up you lazy, lying toad.”

But then I took a second look,

I couldn’t believe my eyes.

Where had my brothers’ head gone?

But with a smile I realized.

So the moral to this story is,

Never tell tales to your brother or sister,

About monsters under their beds.

Or else those naughty little monsters will come out,

And because you was so mean to your brother or sister,

They’ll eat your head instead.
