If.

If I could have anything,

I wanted in the world,

I would ask for peace.

Not just for myself,

But for everyone,

So we could live a life of ease.

If I could take anything,

Away from the world,

I would take away weapons of war.

And replace them with,

Words of love,

So we would fight no more.

If I could give anything,

I wanted to the world,

It would be riches to the poor.

So that we could all be equal,

And happy forever more.

If you could do anything,

For our world,

Tell me what would it be?

After all,

It’s your world too,

Don’t leave all the dreaming to me.

Tarin used to write a lot about everything, especially the ways of the world and how we destroy it. He does like to dream and write about ways we can stop destroying it, but there comes a time in a mans life, when he gets fed up of feeling like the only dreamer in the world and try’s to get the people to sit up and pay attention in whatever way he can, "If" was tarins way. And ok so it’s not one of his finest works, even he knows that, but the thought was there at least *giggles*. The poem was published by Poetry Today in their January 2002 anthology “Whispering Thoughts”.
