Why I Say “I Love You” To My Friends. 

Many people are scared away,

by the way i profess my love.

But you see friendship is a relationship,

and just simply liking isn't enough.

For me a friendship is loving and caring,

for those who have entered your life,

It's about dreaming, trusting and sharing,

in the best and worst of times.

But because I love people so deeply,

doesn't mean I expect the same level of love from you

All I would like is for you to love me your way,

just a little bit is fine by me as long as that friendship and love is true.

I don't give anything to receive,

I give it as a gift from the heart

And friendship, love and trust go hand in hand in hand,

without them we would fall apart.

For many things in friendship take a lot of love,

and just to name a few,

Caring for them even when they are being a jerk,

trying to cheer them up when they are blue,

Telling that friend when they are in the wrong,

giving them a minute when you have none to spare.

Putting aside your own issues,

to help them out with theirs. 

Giving them gifts of meaning and thought,

cherishing that friend for life.

Trying to understand them when no one else does,

letting them cry for as long as they need before drying the tears from their eyes.

Mopping their brows when they are ill,

and have no one else to help them through,

Helping them to swallow lifes bitter pills,

and letting them do all this the same for you

All of these things take love, this is fact,

else how can you call yourself a friend?

That is why I love so much,

Whether we be friends for just a few months or friends until times end.
