Even though you are far apart,  

You are still close in each others hearts,  

Farewell is not goodbye, 

It's "safe journey" and “See you soon"  

with a hug and a kiss and a tear in your eye. 

No matter where it is you roam,  

Someday soon you will be coming back home.

When you return from your journey so long,  

And the family is waiting there at home,  

Its not just a hello  

It's an “I love you”  

With, a hug and a kiss and tears of joy in your eyes  

They say “I’m glad you came back soon”. 

To which you reply, “I told you it’s farewell not goodbye.”
